Definition:

Intentional instructional design that supports each student with research-based instruction and practices which focuses on individual learning needs.

Instruction and resources are tailored to meet the learning needs, preferences, and goals of individual students, offering access to grade-level materials
Co-teaching models are strategically planned for and varied throughout the instructional delivery
Each student has equitable access to grade-level learning materials and diverse resources
Each student has equitable opportunities to share their voice and participate
Access to a wide range of activities and environments is provided for each child by removing barriers and offering multiple ways to promote learning
Teachers utilize differentiated instructional strategies to ensure that each student’s needs are met

Diverse literature, diverse communication, differentiation, scaffolding to provide access for all students, co-teaching models, opportunities for choice and flexibility
