Definition:

Specific guidance given to students based on their evidence of learning towards a clearly communicated learning objective.

Best Practice

  • Timely, frequent, and specific to the learning objective
  • Allows students time to reflect, redo, and improve their understanding
  • Information is individualized and personal to the learning needs of each student
  • Provides students with clear guidance on how to improve their learning
  • Student progress is shared with parents/families continuously and constructively
