Evidence of Learning

Definition:

Daily tasks or activities that require students to demonstrate their understanding of a skill or concept that are aligned to ASD curriculum’s lesson objectives and assessments. Evidence of learning is used to differentiate future lessons and provide appropriate supports to students.

Best Practice

  • Checks for understanding by regularly assessing student understanding through formative assessments like exit tickets or quick checks during lessons
  • Engage students in small group discussions to deepen their understanding of concepts and encourage peer collaboration
  • Provide targeted support and interventions based on students’ individual learning needs and levels of understanding
