Dr. Jamie Bailey currently serves as a Recruiter for Teacher Preparation Programs at the University of Delaware, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. A proud Blue Hen, Dr. Bailey went on to obtain her master’s degree in School Leadership and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

With over a decade of experience as an educator, administrator, and higher education professional, Dr. Bailey is deeply committed to increasing access to high-quality education for all students. She brings a unique blend of classroom experience and strategic leadership to her current role, where she focuses on recruiting and mentoring future educators—particularly students of color—into the teaching profession.

Dr. Bailey is passionate about equity in education and is a vocal advocate for dismantling systemic barriers that disproportionately impact students from underserved communities. Her work centers on culturally responsive teaching, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices, and she frequently collaborates with school districts and community organizations to support educator Pipelines.

In addition to her university role, Dr. Bailey is active in youth development initiatives, facilitates professional development workshops, and mentors aspiring teachers across the state. Her mission is to cultivate inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive, pursue their goals, and become changemakers in their own communities.
