Colleges and universities sign agreements with the district to grant college credit for high school courses that align to college level curriculum. These agreements recognize that skills and competencies are developed through successful completion of specific coursework. Articulated credit is awarded to students who achieve the competencies agreed to and matriculate to the partnering institution. Benefits of articulated credit can include savings on tuition, books and fees, saving time by avoiding duplicative coursework, and providing time in the schedule for expanded program content.
Students that take the courses listed below have the opportunity to earn Advanced Standing at the college listed in the description below the course. Each course has a memorandum of understanding signed between the Appoquinimink School District and the partnering institution of higher ed. Students must meet the requirements of the MOU in order to earn the credits. This may include a minimum grade in the course as well as the successful completion of the prerequisite courses.
